Summary

Computer scientist working on my dissertation on Scientific Machine Learning for physics. On the side I explore how machine learning can be utilized in different fields, with a focus on information security.

Education

Ph.D. Student Informatik

Jul 2026 – Present

University of Stuttgart · Stuttgart, Baden-Württemberg

Research Focus on Scientific Machine Learning and Foundation Models for Physics.

M.Sc. Informatik

Apr 2022 – May 2025

University of Stuttgart · Stuttgart, Baden-Württemberg · Grade 1.2 (very good with distinction)

Focused on Machine Learning and Information Security. My thesis in Scientific Machine Learning we investigated how physics-informed pre-training for Scientific Foundation Models can improve data efficiency and generalization for solving partial differential equations in multi-physics systems. The results show that residual-based supervision is not sufficient on its own for building broadly transferable Scientific Foundation Models. Building generalizable models requires stronger architectural integration of physical principles and invariances.

B.Sc. Informatik

Oct 2017 – Mar 2022

University of Stuttgart · Stuttgart, Baden-Württemberg · Grade 1.9 (good)

A broad, interdisciplinary foundation — ranging from pure mathematics and theoretical computer science to electrical engineering and computer organization, alongside core software engineering principles. This led to my thesis in computational linguistics, where I applied graph theory to optimize human data annotation, building a large-scale, autonomous simulation environment to test sampling, clustering, and stopping procedures and identify their key trade-offs for practical application.
